1. About Kepela and these Terms
These Terms govern your use of the website and assessment tools provided by Christos Nikolakakos, trading as Kepela ("Kepela", "we", "us") at kepela.ai and related subdomains (the "Service"). By using the Service, uploading a CV, profile text or job description, or viewing a generated report, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Kepela is an AI-assisted diagnostic tool that analyses product management competencies, compares profiles against job descriptions and highlights alignment. The Service is offered on an early access basis and may change, be suspended or be discontinued at any time. Scores, levels, archetypes, competency webs and comparisons are estimates intended to support human judgement and discussion. Reports must never be the sole basis for any hiring, promotion, pay or dismissal decision; anyone using a report about another person must apply independent human review. We do not guarantee any interview, job offer or hiring outcome.
3. Your responsibilities
If you submit another person's CV or personal information, you confirm you have a lawful basis to do so under applicable data protection law and have informed that person. We try to remove email addresses, phone numbers, links and names automatically, but you are responsible for removing identifiers, special category data (such as health or religious beliefs) and confidential information before uploading. You must not upload fraudulent, defamatory or infringing material, reverse-engineer the Service or its prompts and rubrics, bypass usage limits or access controls, use bots or scripts to abuse the Service, or submit malicious code or prompt-injection attacks.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, its competency framework, archetypes, rubrics, algorithms, design, name and logo belong to Kepela and its licensors. You keep ownership of the text you upload and give Kepela a temporary, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process it, including through our service providers, solely to produce the report you requested. You may download, print and use generated reports for your own career development or internal recruitment purposes.
5. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy notice, which forms part of these Terms. CVs, job descriptions and reports are not stored in our databases; they stay in your browser tab. We keep anonymous usage counts and optional feedback, which is deleted after 90 days.
6. Usage limits and termination
We may limit the number of reports or matches available to prevent abuse and manage costs. We may suspend or end your access without notice if you breach these Terms or your use threatens the security or stability of the Service.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. Because it relies on AI models, outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or vary between runs. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kepela is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, data or opportunities, or losses arising from hiring or employment decisions made using the Service. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or £50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under English law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
